A trust is seeks old and anwanted bagpipes to be donated to Scottish fire stations to train young musicians

Vlacha is a dance from Naxos island usually danced during the period of Carnival. The dance is usually accompanied by tsabouna and toubaki or violin and lute. Vlacha gives an opportunity for many improvised lyrics by singers.

Tsakonikos dance with Flogera (Video)

 

 

A peculiar dance from Kynouria that dates back in ancient times...According with this theory, based on testimony of Lucian, a similar dance executed by Theseus  and the young people who were saved by Minotaure .Later, was one of the sacred dances of  Dilos. The movements, shapes and dance maneuvers described by ancient sources are identical or similar to those of modern tsakonikos Adjoining that tthis is a survival of the ancient. (George E.
